Torque Characteristics Analysis of a Novel Hybrid Superconducting Magnetic Coupling With Axial-Flux Using a Magnetic Equivalent Circuit Model

A novel hybrid superconducting coupling (NHSC) is proposed in this paper, which the secondary composed of copper and a split superconductor. magnetic equivalent circuit (MEC) model presented to analyze calculate distribution field torque characteristics. The 3D modeling considers end effects encountered mating. expressions flux are obtained by combining Kirchhoff’s law Ampere’s loop law, respectively. finite element (FE) built, simulation performed. Its performance investigated using 135K critical high-temperature superconductor have greater operating margin coupling. For high slip speed 1500 rpm, we observed peak 167 Nm stability 115 Nm. By varying thickness air gap or PMs, increasing decreasing torque. Due cryogenics systems, also reduction losses joule effect. maximum error between results calculated 6.74%, proves that both good agreement.
